The Danger of Seeing Reality Through Shape

3D render on PLC PLAKAT paper on a wall, 2m x 2m, 2019.

The work “The danger of seeing reality through shape” was conceived as an attempt to reverse the rules of presenting my work, challenging perceptions of what is considered digital and what is physical. Created using 3D graphic design software and printed on PLC paper, “The danger of seeing reality through shape” incorporates and reproduces elements from video game 3D models, which have been processed to generate a new 3D image.

As a reflection of our current era, the work takes form in the digital realm while simultaneously extending into the physical environment. The unique quality of the material and the way I have composed it reveal a hybrid entity that inhabits a dimension between virtual space and the physical exhibition space. The final print, applied to the wall like a poster, transforms into a two-dimensional representation of a three-dimensional collage.
